Elizabeth Black has No Restraint, and So Can You

It’s a pleasure to welcome one of my favourite regulars to A Hopeful Romantic today. Elizabeth Black is here on tour for her fabulous new novel, NO RESTRAINT. I’m especially excited about having her today because Elizabeth asked me to write the forward, an honour for which I am very grateful. Welcome, Elizabeth!

no-restraint-largeIn Chapter 9 in my new erotic romance novel No Restraint, Alex Craig and her shiny new lover Jackson Beale head to the beach. The novel is set in Boston but they run to Rockport, Massachusetts for a bit of sun and fun. Rockport is a coastal art colony with lots of kitschy stores and unique restaurants. There are plenty of beaches tucked into the coastline, and this town is a popular tourist destination.

I live in Rockport, and I wanted to bring a bit of the town into my book. What better place for my characters to enjoy a little surf and turf? More people are familiar with Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard, which are on the South Shore. Rockport and its neighboring city Gloucester are in Cape Ann on the North Shore.

I’ve lived in Rockport for over 20 years after moving here from Maryland. I loved Maryland’s Eastern Shore, which is where you’ll find the beaches and small town, rural living. After living in cities my whole life I came to love the small town vibe of Rockport.

The beaches here are very important to me and I’ve made them a daily part of my life – at least as long as Nor’easters and blizzards allow. My two favorite beaches are Long Beach and Cape Hedge Beach. Long Beach has beach houses dating back as far as the 1930s and some early 1900s lined up along a concrete pathway overlooking the beach. When it’s high tide and there isn’t much beach to walk on, I walk on that pathway. Walking is my primary form of exercise. The Long Beach Motor Inn is popular with tourists, as are the beach houses. There is a resident’s parking area to one side of the beach, and it’s always accessible. And private. That’s important.

Cape Hedge is more secluded and definitely only for residents. You need special parking stickers to park on the street rockport2leading to the beach. Tourists aren’t as welcome. This beach is my favorite because it’s not busy and it’s fairly large. It’s also right next to Long Beach so I may walk to that beach if I wish to.

I based my beach in No Restraint on a combination of both of these beaches and the much larger Good Harbor Beach in nearby Gloucester. There is plenty of sand and churning water. The water is also cold! This year was an exception. The water was comfortable enough to swim in, and my husband and I have made a habit of it. We even bought snorkeling gear to check out the ocean floor. We find mostly rocks, shells and occasionally a sand dollar or sea urchin. Sometimes we catch crabs skittering across the sand. The water stays placid so it’s enjoyable for beginners like me to snorkel.

So what if you want to head to a restaurant and do the tourist trap shop thing after an afternoon swimming? You head to the Headlands and Bearskin Neck; both of which I describe in the book. The Headlands are cliffs overlooking Rockport harbor, and it is a popular picnic spot. Alex and Jackson enjoy a meal there before heading to the shops in Bearskin Neck, which is a short walk away. You’ll find all kinds of shops in Bearskin Neck – jewelry, beads, coffee and tea, a strudel café, pottery, clothing, paintings and other local art. And then there are the restaurants! Alex and Jackson enjoy breakfast based on a local joint called Hula Moon. I eat there often. The owners are from Hawaii and they’ve brought the aloha spirit with them. I’ve enjoyed the banana macadamia nut pancakes and Kona coffee Alex and Jackson take in for breakfast. The flavors are magnificent. I, like Alex and Jackson, have developed a distinctive palate for fine food and drink.

rockport1There are only two hotels in Rockport. They’re more like motor inns – smaller and less intrusive on the quaint landscape. Alex and Jackson stay at the Land’s End Inn, which I based on the numerous inns and bed and breakfasts in the area. These homes away from home are festooned with Victorian decorations and furnishings to relax and impress you. Some have patios and decks where you may go outside, sit in an Adirondack chair or at a table, and enjoy many glasses of champagne while you bask in the ocean view. Catch a lovely sunset on the sea while you’ve escaped the hustle and bustle of the big city. Time slows down in places like Rockport, which is one reason I love it here. Crime is so low people leave their doors open 24 hours per day. Even all the cats are related. LOL Like most small towns, everyone knows each other. That can be a good thing as well as a bad thing, but mostly a good thing. People here look after each other.

Rockport is a small town with a lovely. beachy feel. The next time I move will either be to another home in town or Hawaii. My husband grew up on Oahu and he’s eager to return. For one thing, the water is much warmer! So I will enjoy Rockport as long as I can, until I move into another paradise. Alex and Jackson appreciate the finer things in life and Rockport gives them the opportunity to experience more of it.

No Restraint Blurb:

Alex Craig accepts a new job at a high-end sex doll company called Babes. Babes’ dolls are high-end, expensive silicone love toys. Working at Babes is like working for a bacchanal. The company’s culture is all about decadence, enjoying the good life, exciting sex, and enticing food and drink. Alex meets Jackson Beale, one of the company’s vice-presidents. Jackson takes Alex on a new and exciting journey of carnal pleasure. He introduces her to new tactile and kinky pleasures, and she relishes her excitement. The world takes on an entirely new meaning and importance to Alex as she learns what she’s been missing in her life.

No Restraint Excerpt:

(Intro – Alex Craig is applying for a job at Babes, a company that makes expensive, high-end sex dolls. She lusts after Jackson Beale, one of the VPs she just met during her interview. She is a dead ringer for the latest, state-of-the-art doll, which is both exciting and unsettling. As she inspects the doll to determine how to improve it, she purposefully reveals a bit too much about herself.)

‘How is she to fuck?’ Alex’s throat felt dry as she asked the question. She looked at Jackson. She wanted to hear his answer more than anyone else’s. Did she arouse him, in the flesh and in the form of a doll? ‘I throb when I come. You could add a removable vibrating bullet to the vagina. Also, maybe make it a removable pocket pussy so she’s easy to clean and he can take the pussy traveling with him.’ She walked to the doll and slipped in two fingers. ‘Good, she’s very tight. I’ve used Ben Wa balls to strengthen my pelvic floor. My lovers liked that very much.’

‘Lovers?’ Jackson straightened up in his chair. Good. I have his attention. ‘How many lovers do you have?’

‘I had four, but I broke off the relationships. They were very clingy. I don’t like to be tied down.’ I can’t believe I just said that …

‘You don’t?’ It was no wonder Jackson curled up one lip at her. His eyes danced and gleamed in the fluorescent lights. My God, he is easy on the eyes. I wonder what he must think of me with the way he’s teasing me and twisting my words.

‘Not in that way. I’ve never been tied down to a bed, if that’s what you mean. I might like it.’ Feeling warm, she returned to her seat. Badly wanting to remove her jacket but resisting the urge, she wondered if such sexually charged discussions were commonplace at Babes. She wasn’t sure how she felt about it, but the erotic talk shouldn’t have been a surprise since this was a sex dolls company, after all.

I Stayed In A Haunted Bed And Breakfast… And Lived! by Elizabeth Black (@ElizabethABlack)

thingsthatgohump300x200My first novel, An Unexpected Guest, was inspired by Vita Sackville-West’s short story An Unborn Visitant, about a stick-in-the-mud woman in the early 19th century visited by the spirit of someone important to her who changes her life. I took that story to heart, ran with it, and An Unexpected Guest was born. This book takes place in the fictitious town of Norwich, Massachusetts, which is on the northeast coast between Rockport and Ipswich. I imagine it sitting next to Innsmouth, the fictitious town H. P. Lovecraft created for his horror story A Shadow Over Innsmouth. No, there are no fish people in Norwich. 🙂

An Unexpected GuestHere’s a blurb from the book:

Annie’s life is in crisis, and it’s time for her to change things. She is determined to be controlled no longer by her arrogant boyfriend and overbearing mother: for the first time in her life, she is going to follow her dreams and do something she truly wants for herself. Her dreams lead her to a picturesque Bed and Breakfast by the ocean that is rumored to be haunted. As she throws fear to the wind and opens up to life’s new possibilities she meets Jason, whose long blonde hair and cheeky attitude she cannot resist.

The bed and breakfast is called the Abigail Blackburn House, and I based it on a haunted bed and breakfast on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. This b&b dates back to the Revolutionary War, and it sits on a river. I had heard about it several years earlier, and after much planning finally stayed there when I was in town for a theater stage crew convention. The story behind the haunting is as follows: British soldiers came up the river and proceeded to set the small town on fire, destroying most of it. Soldiers threw torches on the porch of this b&b, which was originally a brothel. The proprietress swept the torches off the porch with her broom. She made a deal with the soldiers. She would house them, feed them, and allow them to use her services as long as they didn’t burn the place down. They agreed, and this b&b was allowed to stand whilst homes around it burned to the ground.  The haunting involves the ghost of the proprietress wandering the halls in the dead of night, checking on her clientele and the women to make sure everyone was comfortable. There have been other sightings as well. The b&b itself is absolutely beautiful, decorated in Victorian splendor. It includes a lovely bar and discounted dinners every Friday night. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and very homey in that Victorian style I liked very much.

The first time I stayed it was off-season in mid-winter. I was in a room overlooking the river. What a view! I enjoyed a delicious meal and the company of a man I met in the bar. He came to the b&b several times per month to enjoy dinner when in town on business. No, I did not take him to bed, although he was very handsome. We ate dinner together. That night I slept well until about 3 am when I heard a party going on in the room next to me. There was a lot of noise. I managed to go back to sleep. At about 4:30 am I heard heavy footsteps walking up and down the hallway. I immediately thought of the ghost of the proprietress stalking the halls checking on everyone and went back to sleep. I wondered why she wore combat boots, since the footsteps were very loud and heavy. I felt very safe, secure, and comfortable. Not the least bit scared.

The next day, when I went down for breakfast, I told the clerk about the party and the footsteps. She told me I couldn’t have heard anything because I had been alone in the building all night. Yeeeahhh!!!!! The party! The footsteps! None of it could have happened!!!

Of course, I had to return. 🙂

The second time I stayed I was with my husband. While we slept, someone turned on the overhead light in the middle of the night. I was a very light sleeper and I snapped awake the moment the light turned on. He snored away next to me. I was far too tired to get up and turn off the light, so I went back to sleep. When I woke up shortly before dawn, the light was out. I asked my husband later about the light and he said he had turned it off before going to bed. He didn’t get up during the night at all.

So who turned on the light? And who later turned it off?

I heard those footsteps in the hallway again, and felt as safe as I did the first time.  No party this time, though. At least this time there were other guests in the place. I wasn’t alone in the building again.

My experiences affected me so much I wrote about them later in An Unexpected Guest.  This book includes information about the flu pandemic of 1918 and how it affected the region. Plus it’s a very romantic and haunting love story. The town of Norwich is based on the Massachusetts coastal town where I live. It has all the homes that date back to the 1800s, the ocean, the cliffs, the beaches, and the rustic romance.  If you love a good and romantic ghost story, you’ll love An Unexpected Guest.

Excerpt:

[Intro: Annie and Jason are on the deck of the Abigail Blackburn house overlooking the harbor. He has told her numerous times it’s very important that she buy the house. He’ll do anything to convince her to buy, but she doesn’t know the real reason he needs her to buy the place. Is Jason a ghost or is he flesh and blood?]

“Why is it so important to you that I buy this house?”

“I already told you. I don’t want to lose you. You seem to have your heart set on owning this house, but you have your doubts. I hope I can help to talk you into it.”

“If it’s any consolation to you, I’m leaning towards buying it.”  A boom sounded from outside, followed by a loud whistle. Curious, Annie walked to the picture window, with Jason following on her heels.

A burst of fireworks covered the sky with red and yellow sunbursts. Another firework sailed into the air, and burst into a blue and red flower with trails of yellow that fell to the harbor like tropical fish swimming in the ocean. Annie loved fireworks. A trill of excitement traveled from her stomach and up her spine. Here she was, trapped in a New England snowstorm by the ocean, and a party materialized around her. Nothing like that ever happened in western Massachusetts, where she lived. Norwich was so romantic. It was the perfect location for her to live. Another burst of fireworks criss-crossed the night sky, and Annie felt the boom in her chest. The party was such a fun, festive thing, and she was happy to be a part of it. She felt very at home in the Abigail Blackburn house. It would be easy to live there.

A yellow sunburst exploded a little too close to some trees. It was so loud that Annie jumped.

“They’re going to light the trees on fire!” Annie said. “How did they get fireworks this time of year?”

“I think I know who set them off. Those guys can find fireworks any time of year. Want to go outside and watch?”

Annie held open her kimono. “I’m not exactly dressed, and it looks cold out there.”

Jason walked towards a chair, and removed his coat that he had draped over it. “Put this on. It will keep you very warm. It’s lined with fur.”

“What about you?”

“I’ll be fine. You’ll keep me warm.”

Annie put on Jason’s coat. She buried her face in the fur lining and smelled the sweetness of his Halston cologne and his sweat. It was still warm from when he had worn it last. They walked outside onto the deck. A roman candle soared into the air. Each colorful ball of light illuminated the falling snow.

“This is beautiful. I could imagine myself living here. I don’t want to leave. I do think I could make a go of this place. I badly want to buy it.”

“Then buy it,” Jason stood behind her. He wrapped his arms around her waist. She intertwined his fingers with her own. Fireworks fell over the harbor and into the water. The snow fell silently around her. She lifted her head, and held out her tongue. Three snowflakes alighted on her tongue.

“How do you like our snowflakes? We have only the best tasting snowflakes in Norwich.” Jason whispered in her ear.

“I love eating snowflakes. The snow is really coming down. It’s exciting being trapped here for a couple of days. I used to eat snowflakes when I was a kid. There was always lots of snow in western Massachusetts.”

“You get more snow than we get here. Most of the time, snowstorms blow over by the coast, and the clouds dump the snow on Boston or farther west. Cape Cod gets more snow than we do. But not tonight!”

“I love watching the snow fall on the harbor. Look at the way the lights reflect on the water.”

“And just think – you can have that view all the time if you buy this place. Don’t go anywhere,” Jason squeezed her around the waist. “I’ll be right back.” He returned to the dining room.

Annie walked to the edge of the deck and leaned against the railing. She heard laughter coming from a bare spot down the hill on the beach. Five people bundled in heavy coats shoved bottle rockets into the sand, and lit the wicks. They ran away from the fireworks, giggling all the while. The bottle rockets exploded and sailed into the air with a loud whistle. Annie felt a sudden urge to join them. She wanted to be a part of the festivities. When she looked around, she realized that she already was a part of the goings-on. Jason obviously went to pick up something for her. Clarice spotted Annie looking around, and she waved. Annie smiled and waved back. Living in Norwich would be easy. The locals already welcomed her. It was up to her to make them a part of her life.

Don’t Call Me Baby is a fast paced, very adventurous romantic novel that will take readers on a roller coaster ride of scorching romantic fun. The main character, Catherine, is a woman after my own heart. She is young and fiercely independent, and beyond gorgeous. She is not wealthy, but she wants to live the good life and is not afraid to go get it. She is also very sexually liberated, and in the 1980’s this was sometimes a good thing, and sometimes a not so good thing. The story is so blisteringly hot and steamy; it’s difficult to put down. It took me back to a better time, and a time I enjoyed much more. It is a novel I truly enjoyed reading, and will definitely be reading time and time again. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it’s also not to be missed.

So many men, so little time. Catherine has a long list of men that she sees on a regular basis, and at the top of the list (for the moment, anyway) is Brian. He’s one of her professors at Quincy, and a married man, but that’s never been a problem. But he’s so demanding! So maybe some time apart will be just the trick. A summer theater camp at another local college for local teens should make him realize that Catherine is not his possession, right? That is, until she gets to the camp and meets the other counselors. Ryan is gorgeous, and the rest? Well, what’s a girl on her own to do? Why, enjoy as many as she can! In the meantime, Catherine will come to grips with her mind and her heart, and will figure out what she really wants in life.

baby_top_pickBook Blurb for Don’t Call Me Baby

DON’T CALL ME ‘BABY’ is a fast-paced, quick-witted, sexy, novel about a young woman exploring her sexuality and the cultural morés she collides with on a daily basis.

It’s 1983 in Maryland and Catherine Stone is sex on wheels. She plays the field the way men have done for aeons. Not content to strive for her MRS degree like so many young women her age, she seduces men of all stripes – married college professors, theatre students, virgins, complete strangers who intrigue her. She has already cost one man his job.

She asks herself lots of questions on her search to enjoy her sexuality. Why don’t other women enjoy their sex as much as she does? Why do so many women and men look down on sexually free women, calling them sluts while sexually free men are called studs and Lotharios? She bucks at the double standards! Catherine has made no commitment to any man. She’s free to explore and she gladly does so. No man can tie her down and no woman’s judgment will stop her from playing the field to her heart’s content.

Does she meet her match in a new man who introduces her to sexual bliss she had never before experienced? When she tries multiple partners and bondage for the first time as a submissive, she believes she’s found the sexual bliss she is looking for – and with a man who not only introduces her to the fineries in life but also cares about her like no man ever has before.

Excerpt

[Intro: Catherine Stone is my heroine and the book’s main character. She has taken a summer job at a college camp. Ryan is the older college professor in charge of the camp. KC (aka Casey) is one of the counselors who becomes one of Catherine’s closest friends. DJ teaches drama at the camp. They are currently in an orientation meeting before camp begins.]

At that moment, a young man ran into the room in a blaze of jeans and oversized t-shirt. He tossed his backpack behind the chair next to DJ, and then plopped into a seat.

“Nice of you to drop by, KC.” Ryan said.

“Sorry I’m late. Ran a bit behind this morning.” He gave the crowd a big toothy grin, and leaned back in his chair until the front two legs were off the ground. Oh, boy. This guy is going to be fun. “Okay, alarm didn’t go off. But I’m here. So… did I miss anything?”

“Not yet, but you did manage to be the center of attention again,” Ryan tried to sound miffed, but Catherine saw his dimples deepen as he tried not to smile. “We just did introductions. You can get to know everyone here a bit later. Now, I need to get started.”

The orientation went well. Catherine kept her legs up on the table, showing them off, and her stunt did not get past KC. His eyebrows shot up, and he blew a kiss in her direction. Catherine couldn’t help but like him immediately. He seemed to be the type of guy who didn’t take a thing seriously, and she liked to surround herself with people like that. KC’s silly mood was infectious, and soon with his carousing and smart-mouthed funny comments, everyone at the table was laughing. Monica and Ryan assigned each worker to a class. DJ and Catherine were to teach drama.

“I brought my accordion again,” KC said. “You know how much the kids loved me last year.”

“They cringed, KC,” DJ said. “Did you actually watch them when you played Freebird? On the accordion? You were not cool, dude. Try as you might.”

“I was the coolest guy in the room. You’re just jealous because you can’t pick out Freebird on that tin-plated noise machine you play.”

“It’s a 12-string steel guitar, and I can pick out Freebird just fine.”

“Looks like Miss Longest-Legs-in-the-Universe here is also a guitarist. You two can play the theme to Deliverance to really get the kids in a good mood.”

“How’d you know I play the guitar?” Catherine stretched her legs in response to KC’s ribbing. Her movement did not get past Ryan’s attention. That pleased her to no end.

“I saw you arrive, and you hoisted that guitar over your head. I see a threesome in your future – no, not that kind! Get your mind out of the gutter!!” He laughed at his own joke, and so did everyone in the room, including Catherine. “Us, on guitars. You, DJ, and I. Scaring the kids to death with our bad renditions of Kumbaya. And there’s no need to look so horrified. DJ is used to me picking on him. It’s all in good fun. We’ve been best friends since we were in fourth grade.”

“And we’ve been at each other’s throats ever since.” DJ said. “I’m glad we’re going to teach the drama classes, Catherine. Your suggestion of improvs is perfect. After the meeting, want to do some brainstorming?”

“Sounds good to me. I have lots of good ideas.”

“Don’t let him hog all the ideas,” KC said. “He’s a born monopolizer.”

“Speak for yourself.”

“I do. All the time.” He winked at her, and DJ busted out laughing. It was good to see DJ’s handsome smile. It made his demeanor seem less standoffish. She figured out his relationship with Casey. They balanced each other out very nicely. DJ was the imposing Pontiac GTO and Casey was the Triumph Spitfire.

When Monica learned that Catherine played the piano, guitar, and flute, she immediately added her name to the list of people to play music around the campfire at night. DJ would join her on the guitar and KC on the accordion. What is it with the initials for names around here? Did their parents name them by choosing two different blocks from a game of Scrabble? It wasn’t required that she play every night, but it sure sounded like fun.

Once the meeting was over, and everyone left the room to go about their business, Catherine ran until she caught up with KC and DJ. But she didn’t leave without giving Ryan a coy smile and a wiggle of her hips. His gaze traveled to parts of her body that would have been considered impolite in mixed company. She didn’t turn to see Ryan watch her as she wiggled her way out into the hall towards KC and DJ.

“Here she is, the girl with the longest legs in the world. And damn! You’re short!”

She looked up at KC. “I’m five foot nothing. Most of it legs. You are what? Six feet?”

“Six foot two. So you and my buddy DJ are going to run the acting workshops for the kids?”

“Sure looks that way. It sounds like fun. I know lots of theatre exercises we could try on the kids. They make great icebreakers, too.”

“Well, I’ll leave you two kids to your theatre business,” KC said. “I haven’t unpacked yet, and I want to get myself settled in. See you two at dinner?”

“Yeah. What does KC stand for anyway?”

“Kevin Collins. I go by ‘‘Casey,’ C-A-S-E-Y. Emphasis on the first syllable. I’ll see you two later.”

He ran off before either of them could answer, which struck Catherine as something he did on a regular basis. Looks like you met your match, girl. Being around Casey could be exhausting, and she had only a little bit of exposure to him. How was she going to survive two weeks of “Whirlwind Casey”? She wasn’t the least bit attracted to him, and she didn’t want to fuck him, but he was far too much fun to ignore. He’d be a good friend to have in her corner if she needed one. And she wanted to make friends with him regardless of what gossip might erupt about her sexual activities, and there was bound to be some sooner or later.

Elizabeth Black Talks about Strange Sexual Fetishes

Elizabeth Back Fetishexstar_wars_fetishFetishes are often used in erotic fiction, and I’m no stranger to them. Foot fetishes or a fetish for getting off on pain are sometimes seen in erotic fiction, especially BDSM fiction. I used two lesser known but not entirely unknown fetishes in my erotic fairy tales “Climbing Her Tower” (erotic Rapunzel) and “Trouble In Thigh High Boots” (erotic Puss In Boots”). I used two in “Trouble In Thigh High Boots” – maxophilia (breast fetish) and lactophilia (nursing fetish). I touch on beastiality in this one, but not much. I used one in “Climbing Her Tower” – trichtophilia (shaving fetish).

Want to know how I used these fetishes? You’ll have to read the books to find out. 🙂 Here are some hints – Tita in “Trouble In Thigh High Boots” is a feline shape shifter. Cats like milk. 🙂 In “Climbing Her Tower”, Rapunzel’s entire history is about her hair. The Prince has a shaving fetish. Opportunities abound.

Here are some widely-known fetishes. I’m sure you’re familiar with them.

* Necrophilia – sexual attraction to corpses. No, not your ex.

* Beastiality – sexual attraction to animals. Erotic romance writers have to be careful they don’t fall into beastiality territory when creating shifter characters, especially werewolves. One way to get around the beastiality problem is to not have the characters have sex when in animal form. I have created a character in an out-of-print book “Filthy Leuker” who shifts when he’s sexually aroused but he never goes full wolf. Beastiality is one of the more common fetishes erotic romance writers deal with.

* Furries! Does it say something squicky about me that I know what “yiffing” is?

Here are some lesser-known fetishes. Do you or anyone you know experience any of these? If so, you may need professional help, LOL.

* Sacofricosis – making a hole in your pants to accommodate public masturbation.

* Symorophilia – becoming aroused at real or staged accidents (like the movie “Crash”)

* Dendrophilia – sexual interest in trees. Not trees’ sexual interest in you, a la “The Evil Dead”.

* Autonepiophilia – sexual pleasure from dressing like an infant. Think Jerry Springer. It’s just creepy to see a fully grown man dressed like a baby – in an adult diaper, rolling around in baby food and crying for his mommy. That’s not sexy. That’s weird.

* Gerontophilia – sexual preference for the elderly. Filthy rich elderly, anyone?

* Ursusagalmatophilia (Plushophilia) – sexual interest in teddy bears. Makes you look at the Care Bears and Teddy Ruxpin in an entirely new and unsettling light.

* Hierophilila – sexual attraction to religious objects. Think “The Exorcist” and Regan masturbating with a crucifix.

* Menophilia – sexual excitement at the sight or smell of a menstruating woman. Love getting your red wings? Then you may have menophilia.

* Dacryphilia – sexual arousal at someone crying. Otherwise called being a wanker.

Oh, by the way, that image at the top? If you have a “Star Wars” fetish, you’re into Exophilia, sexual attraction to alien creatures. May The Force Be With You!

Now you know more about fetishes than you’ve ever wanted to know! Curious about my two erotic fairy tales and their fetishes? Here’s the dirt:

“”Climbing Her Tower” is an erotic twist to the fairy tale Rapunzel. I sure love a good fairy tale and this hot and steamy tale doesn’t disappoint.” — Beverly at Sizzling Hot Book Reviews

Climbing Her Tower has all that and more. It is the story of Rapunzel told with a bit of a BDSM twist.” — Hitherandthee from Night Owl Reviews

WARNING: Rapunzel isn’t sweet and innocent. In this fairy tale erotica, she tires of being a virgin and craves the touch of Prince Richard’s hands all over her body. Although she begins naive, she blossoms with sexual excitement under the watchful eye of her prince, who introduces her to BDSM, erotic shaving, and deep penetration. He leaves her wanting more, and you will want more too!

Excerpt:

Stars shined in the sky when she heard, “Let down your hair!” Why would Mother come to visit her late at night? She visited only during the day. Always a good girl who did what she was told, she coiled her hair around the hook and struggled once again with the braid, feeling the weight as Mother climbed her tresses. She seemed heavier than usual this evening, maybe because Rapunzel was tired.

When a tall, strapping man climbed through her window, she drew back in both fear and … something else. Her skin tingled and her heart raced, but she didn’t know why. What kind of effect did this man she recognized from the meadow earlier that day have on her?

“Please don’t be afraid,” he said. “I heard your beautiful voice and I needed to see you up close. You’re more beautiful here in front of me than you are from a distance.”

So he heard me sing… She wondered if he was a god like Zeus (Mother read to her about Zeus), and would he take her by force the way the manly Zeus had taken women in the Greek myths? Despite her confusion, she felt a rush of heat course through her body and her skin rose in goose bumps of excitement at the mere presence of him. His smell was intoxicating – of oiled leather and sweat – and she inhaled deeply to immerse herself in his scent. Her entire body tingled in anticipation of what he might do to her, and she realized with a bit of alarm that she wanted him in her tower, alone, to be at his mercy.

She tried to step toward him but her hair held her in place. She turned to her braid and yanked it bit by bit up the tower. The lovely man came to her side, dragging her heavy tresses up the tower and helping her untangle them from the hook until she stood before him, hair free, piled in a mountain at her feet.

“May I touch you? You seem too heavenly to be real.” His strong hand alighted on her shoulder, sending ripples of pleasure up and down her arm. What was happening to her? Why was her heart racing so quickly that she couldn’t catch her breath? Why did the mere touch of this man make her jump? What would it be like to feel his clean-shaven cheek or – better yet – place one small hand on his massive chest to feel the beat of his heart?

He rubbed her blouse at the hem. “What’s this made of? It’s very soft.”

“My hair. I knit clothing from my hair to pass the time.” Taking a chance, she placed her palm against his chest and felt the rise and fall of his rapid breathing. “Who are you?”

“I’m Richard, Prince of Norwich, the ruler of this land. I’ve seen your tower before but I had never seen you in it. What’s your name? Why are you here?”

“My name is Rapunzel. I live here.”

“Such a lovely name… Don’t you want to leave, to see the world around you? There’s an entire town behind your tower.”

Surprised, she thought the meadow surrounded her tower for many miles, isolating her in her loneliness. “So that’s why I hear engines and smell food cooking but I can’t figure out where it’s coming from.”

He took her in his arms, and she didn’t fight his embrace. His grip around her body was firm yet gentle, and she buried her face in his long, charcoal hair. “Let me take you away from here.”

Did she want to leave? She felt safe in her tower but she yearned to run in the long meadow grass far from it, or feel the wind blow through her hair as she rode behind him on his horse. Yes, I want to go, but how? Mother will never let me leave here.

“Take me away with you,” she said.

“Yes, I shall take you far from this tower. How long have you lived here?”

“My whole life.”

“But why? Who would keep you imprisoned here?”

“My mother, but I’m not imprisoned. She’s protecting me.”

“From what? There is nothing in the world to be afraid of. Quite the opposite. I want to show you the world, my fair one. But first, I must touch you.” He brushed her long hair out of her eyes. “May I?”

“Touch me where?”

“Here.” He lowered his face until his lips brushed against hers, like a breeze through the heather in the meadow. Never before kissed by a man, she froze in both fear and arousal, alert to his touch but unable to move. His lips traveled from hers to her cheek, her chin, and her neck, and upon reaching her throat, she gasped with excitement. Yes, she wanted to feel his lips upon her skin, his hands upon her body. Why had Mother kept her in this tower, away from the world? What was out there that scared Mother so?

His gentle touch aroused more goose bumps on her sensitive skin, eager for teasing and the feel of his wet tongue on her warm flesh. His mouth sucked on her skin, bringing forth a gasp of breath from her in both alarm and excitement. She wrapped her arms around his back, slowly at first, and then with more urgency. He felt rugged and manly, qualities she had only heard about but never before experienced.

Her first man pressed his firm lips against the pulse in her throat, and she felt the stubble on his jaw against her tender skin. So this is what a man feels like! So strong and firm, hard yet gentle all at once. Her head spun with the fever of his kisses against her throat and she stretched her head back to give him more room. Heart racing in her chest, she felt the pulsing sinews on his back through his frock coat and then, with trepidation, moved her shaking hands to his broad chest, palms exploring every inch of his luscious body. Strong arms, ripped with muscles, wrapped around her body and held her so tightly he nearly lifted her from the floor.

Stars spun before her eyes and she felt light-headed with arousal and excitement. His hands pressed against her delicate back with such force, she feared he would snap her in two. His touch stirred deep emotions in her that she both feared and relished; she wanted to give her will over to her arousal and to his desire. Her head spun in the throes of his stimulating kiss as his lips traveled from her throat to her waiting mouth. He crushed his lips against hers, taking her breath away, and her head spun in ecstasy.

As he parted her lips with his own he slipped in his tongue. At first alarmed, since she had never heard of such a kiss, she struggled against him; but in his tight grip, she was helpless to escape. His tongue explored her mouth, brushing against her teeth, and she gave into his amorous moves. He tasted of brandy and tobacco, a heady combination. Dizzy with the thrill of his touch, she pulled her head away from him when he released her pouting mouth; but she was eager to taste more of him.

“You feel so beautiful,” he whispered in her ear as his lips pressed against her jaw. “May I lift your skirts? I want to see your legs.”

Once again, she nodded without speaking. She wanted to feel his hands upon her body. She’d watched him from her tower for days now, enamored of his curiosity, wondering what he looked like. She knew him from a distance, and now he was up close, touching her, arousing her. He lifted her skirts and moaned in delight at what he saw.

Excerpt:

Her stiletto heels clicked on the hardwood floor, attracting the king’s attention. When he turned toward her, her heart nearly stopped at the unabashed thrilled look on his face when he set eyes on her. She sniffed the air and smelled castile soap and fragrant oil of rosemary. If I didn’t know better, I’d think he expected me. Maybe his knights told him I was on my way.

“Ah, cat, you have returned! How delightful!” The king’s jolly laugh boomed around the high-ceilinged room. “My sister told me she saw you on the road. Your rabbits were absolutely delicious. I saved a morsel in case you returned.”

She smiled and batted her lashes at him. Stop it! You’re acting like a peckish school girl with a bad crush! “You are too kind, Your Highness. Before I accept your gracious offer of food, might I offer you another present from the Marquis of Carabas?”

Another present? Your Marquis is quite impressive. First, the fattest rabbits I’ve seen in these parts in a long time, and now more gifts! Yes, please, do show me what you have to offer.”

Oh, I’ll show you much more than you expect, sire. She lifted her knapsack and prepared to open it, but hesitated. The king looked dejected.

“What’s wrong?”

“I want this gift to be a special surprise for you, sire, but I can’t have you looking at me when I give it to you.”

“Well, what shall we do then?”

“I had an idea.” She opened the knapsack a tiny bit, reached inside, and pulled out a silk blindfold. “How about we play a game?”

He clapped his hands. “I love games! Cat, you are quite the adventuress!”

Little do you know… “I do my best, Your Highness.” She held the blindfold between her claws. “May I approach you and slip this over your eyes, sire?”

“Of course you may.”

“You trust me?”

“Why shouldn’t I?”

“How do you know I won’t shield your eyes and then slit your throat?”

“Because there’s something special about you, cat. I can’t put my finger on it, but you are very intriguing. I’m willing to trust you with my life.”

Her heart melted at his words, and she took great pride in feeling his affection even though he had not yet seen her in her human form. What would he think of her once he saw her long legs, full breasts, and thick tawny hair? Would he ravish her when he felt the warmth from her heart and tasted the sweetness of her breath? How would he react to the tenderness she longed to give him?

When would he remember her, if he remembered her at all? She had never spoken to him or shifted in front of him when she lived in the castle. Her heart ached with love and memories of his tender caresses and playful roughhousing. If only he recalled her!

She walked to him as he sat in his favorite chair, and then she leapt onto his lap. He ran his fingers through her long fur without thinking twice about it, as many humans did when accosted by a cat, although certainly not most. She had met her share of men and women who beat her and threw pans of water at her. Zane’s face flashed into her mind. When would she see him again? Tita knew he would make another appearance soon, aware of his cruelty and greed. She shook her head and quickly shoved his memory away. She would not allow him room in her head to ruin her time with the king.

Thankfully, her king was not cruel. She purred with pleasure as he scratched her behind her ears. Ooooh, he found my most sensitive sweet spot! I can’t stand it! Let me at him! In a fit of arousal, she rubbed her mouth against his hand, leaving her scent on his skin.

She stared into his deep blue eyes and paused before lifting her blindfold. I wonder if he can see into my soul when he gazes into my eyes. One look will show him a world he’s never before seen. She gazed at him, wishing he could read her mind, to sense the love she felt for him.

“You have lovely eyes, cat. The color of a deep sea – quiet on the surface, but I suspect there is quite a bit of turmoil in those depths.” He ran one hand over her back, stroking her length until she arched in response. “Your eyes are very human. Long-lashed and expressive. Are you enchanted?”

“In a way, sire, yes I am. But I’m not cursed. I can give you what you need.”

“And what might that be?”

“Let me show you.” She slipped the blindfold over his eyes and waited for him to sit back and relax. When his breathing eased, she curled into his lap, placing both paws on his shoulders. “Don’t be afraid. And whatever you do, don’t remove the blindfold. I’m about to give you my surprise.”

As her body lengthened and stretched, she stroked his hair. Paws elongated into palms and fingers and she scratched his scalp with her long nails. He moaned and curled his head into her embrace, but as her furry body grew into curvy feminine form, he backed away with a gasp of alarm.

“Please don’t be afraid,” she whispered in a deep, mellow voice that sang in his ear. “I won’t hurt you.” She guided his hands from his sides to her bare hips. “Touch me. Feel me.”
